The last date to apply for the Health and Accident Insurance Scheme implemented by the Public Relations Department for journalists in Madhya  Pradesh is now 30 September 2021.

Explain that under the health insurance scheme, Rs 4 lakh will be insured and under the personal accident insurance scheme Rs 10 lakh will be insured. There is also an option of Rs 2 lakh in health insurance scheme for journalists and Rs 5 lakh in personal accident insurance scheme. Journalists can also get insurance of Rs 4 lakh or Rs 2 lakh.

To join the scheme, the age limit of journalists has been fixed from 21 to 70 years. At the same time, pre-insured journalists will be eligible for this scheme up to 80 years. Insurance will be done for 1 year. 75 percent of the annual insurance installment of the communication representative up to the age of 60 years and 85 percent of the insurance installment of the communication representative of 61 to 70 years will be paid by the Directorate of Public Relations.

Under this scheme, the journalist’s husband, wife, three unmarried children and parents up to a maximum of 26 years can be included in the scheme on payment of the prescribed premium. The insurance policy will cover all pre-existing diseases.

For this, along with the preferred journalists of the Directorate of Public Relations, the journalists who give Form 16 of the Institute of Communications and the slip of PPF deduction will also be eligible as before.

For this, those journalists who are native of Madhya Pradesh and working in New Delhi will also be eligible.

For non-preferential journalists, 50 percent premium will be paid by the journalist and 50 percent by the Public Relations Department. Under the scheme, there will be a cashless arrangement for treatment in the identified hospitals of the insurance company under the policy. For this, e-cards will be sent to journalists through e-mail. Journalists will be required to carry Aadhar card during their treatment in the hospital.
