LIC raised stake in BOB: Life Insurance Corporation of India i.e. LIC has increased its stake in Bank of Baroda. Due to this, there was a rise in the shares of the bank.

Life Insurance Corporation of India i.e. LIC has increased its participation in public sector Bank of Baroda by 2 percent. Due to this, the participation of LIC Bank has increased to 7.05 percent. According to the information given in LIC share market, 10.45 crore additional shares were purchased in the open market last year.

During the period from November 20, 2023 to April 16, 2025, LIC has increased its stake in Bank of Baroda from 5.03 percent to 7.05 percent. On the other hand, the government’s participation in the bank till the end of March 2025 is 63.97 percent.

On Monday (April 21), there was a rise of 3 percent in Bank of Baroda share. BSever share is Rs 249.65. The market value of the bank is Rs 1.29 lakh crore. The bank’s share has increased by 15 percent in the last one month and by 7 percent in a week.

After reducing the repo rate by Reserve Bank of India by 0.25 percent, Bank of Baroda has also reduced the interest rate by 0.25 percent. The interest rates on loans given to companies in the retail and MSME sector have been reduced.

Bank of Baroda has not yet released the figures for the fourth quarter of the financial year 2024-25. Bankela’s net profit during the period from October to December would have been Rs 4837.34 crore.
