Driving a vehicle without insurance will be expensive, the fine will be three times the premium

Meanwhile, the Union Road Transport Ministry has prepared to make some changes in the Motor Vehicles Act. These changes may make it costly for people to drive without insurance on the roads. In this, a provision is being made to impose a fine according to the premium on vehicles without insurance. This will directly affect the pockets of vehicle owners.

Actually, according to a report by the Times of India, the central government is going to bring some new rules to improve road safety. The purpose of these rules is to improve road safety and strictly implement the rules. There is a preparation to tighten the noose especially on those people who drive without insurance.

Limit of vehicles will be fixed
At present, there is a big difference between the speed limit set by the central government and the speed limit set by different states. Due to this, confusion often arises among the vehicles. In such a situation, the limit set by the states on the highway is violated unknowingly. Therefore, it is necessary to keep a standard limit for this speed. So that the fine imposed on vehicle drivers can be reduced. Along with this, this step can also help in curbing corruption.

Heavy fine will be imposed for driving without insurance
According to the report, the government is now going to take strict action against uninsured motor vehicles. If a person drives without insurance, he will be fined heavily. Currently, such drivers pay a fine of Rs 2,000 for the first time and Rs 4,000 for the second time. According to the new rule, driving without insurance for the first time will attract a fine of three times the base premium of the insurance. Whereas, this fine will increase to five times if caught again. Its purpose is to reduce the number of vehicles without insurance.

Government strict on driving license renewal
The Government of India has suggested strict rules for renewing driving license. Now those who have been found guilty of crimes like speeding or drunk driving will have to give a mandatory driving test to renew the license. Along with this, people above 55 years of age will also have to pass the driving test at the time of license renewal.
