Government gives insurance cover worth lakhs to poor laborers, know the process of registration

The government provides health insurance up to Rs 2 lakh for people working in the unorganized sector. No charge is taken for this. But to take advantage of this scheme, it is necessary that your information is registered on the e-labor portal.

New Delhi: It is necessary for almost everyone to take insurance. But it is often seen that people belonging to low income group are not able to take advantage of it. But let us tell you that the central government also provides insurance facility for people with low income group, in which they get the benefit of insurance cover worth lakhs on a nominal premium amount.

Get benefit through registration on e-labor portal

The government provides health insurance up to Rs 2 lakh for people working in the unorganized sector. No charge is taken for this. But to take advantage of this scheme, it is necessary that your information is registered on the e-labor portal. With this, you will get an insurance cover of up to Rs 2 lakh for free in times of need.

How to make e-labor card

To get an e-labor card, first you have to go to the official website of the portal, eshram.gov.in. After this, you have to click on the Register on e-Shram option on the home page. Now a new page will open, fill your details here.

In the second step, after filling the requested information, OTP will be sent to the mobile number linked to the Aadhaar card. After submitting this OTP, the registration form will appear, which has to be filled. Upload the requested documents. Now submit the form. On completion of the registration process, a 10 digit e-labor card will be issued.

These benefits are available in e-labor card

Under the PM Suraksha Bima Yojana, workers get insurance up to Rs 2 lakh. Two lakh rupees in case of death or disability due to accident and financial assistance is also available from the government in case of partial disability. Even in its calamity or epidemic, help comes from the central and state government.
