In Pradhan Mantri

Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PM Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana), the policy holder will have to pay only Rs 436 every year. A year ago, only Rs 330 had to be paid for this scheme. But later the premium amount was increased. The premium will be paid between June 1 and May 30. To avail the benefits of the scheme, you can apply for the scheme by visiting any bank or sitting at home through internet banking.

Who can take insurance policy

Those persons from 18 years to 50 years can apply for the Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana run by the Central Government. It has to be renewed every year. The maturity age of this policy has been fixed at 55 years. If the premium is not paid in any year, then the person will not be able to take advantage of the insurance. In this case, the account opened under the scheme is also closed.

How much claim is received

If the person taking the policy dies due to any reason, then a claim of two lakh rupees is given to the legal officer or nominee of the insured person. This is a term insurance plan. Term insurance means that when the life assured dies, only the legal heirs get the benefit. If the insured person remains well after the completion of the term in the insurance plan, then that person will not get any benefit.
